Lene Marlin: - Spectacular |
Source : Aftenbladet |
Lene Marlin makes a rare exception when she tonight plays a concert. Read why she said yes to go to Sokndal.
-It sounded very exciting to sing in a mine, it’s something I’ve never done before and that is why I said yes to do it, says Lene Marlin to Aftenbladet.no.
Marlin is the opening act to Katie Melua on Titania in Sokndal tonight. The concert is part of Dalane kulturfestival.
She had a soundcheck on Friday.
-It was a very special soundcheck. It was so great and spectacular that I hardly could believe I was there. I’d definitely wouldn’t miss being a part of this, explains Marlin.
Marlin released the single “Unforgivable Sinner” in 1998, and the follow-up ”Sitting Down Here” did even better than her first single. She had huge success in both Norway and other countries, and travelled around the world to play. She has won awards in Norway and an MTV award for Best Nordic Act. But then she took a break and didn’t hold concerts.
Things have begun to happen around her again. This summer she moved to London with her boyfriend Kåre Conradi, and in not too long she will release a new album.
-I am working on an new album on Askøy outside of Bergen, reveals the girl from Tromsø.
