Lene Marlin airplayed in South Africa!! |
In our guestbook we get messages from all over the world and we did not miss a very nice one from last May 20th, by Sephiroth, saying: "Cool site. All of us here in South Africa enjoy your music, especially Unforgivable Sinner and Sitting down Here. Keep on bringing out such high quality music. We're with you all the way!!!!"
Since we always take a look at the charts and playlists from many countries in all continents, we had verified straight away that in the Republic of South Africa (more than 40 million inhabitants) charts are full of European and American music, and last week we had a nice surprise: Lene Marlin entered in the Top40 on the one that should be the main and oldest South African radio, 5 FM. The site is constantly up-to-date, clear and full of information.
We also found out that Lene in the beginning of July entered another chart, "World Chart Show" (Biggest hits breaking boarders on the Dorito's World Chart Show).
Surprisingly, Lene's album is on sale also on kalahari.net, priced 105.56 Rand, which is a little more than 13 Euros :-)
Lene could add Cape Town to her promo tour this year. She might find out that she's got many fans there too.
HOW WOULD IT BE
South Africa
#39 01 - 5 FM Top 40
#37 02 - 5 FM
Symbols order: current position, state (new entry, up, down, standing), weeks spent in the chart, chart/playlist name
