"Venn" straight to top in Norway
Excellent news from Norway, where the double album "Venn", pushed by the homonymous single set to music by Lene Marlin and Espen Lind, enters this week in the chart of the best-selling albums straight to number one, passing in only 7 days the number of 42.000 copies sold, which means proceeds of 5 million kroner (about 600.000 Euros) that will be assigned to support the activities of the Norwegian Red Cross in the area of Banda Aceh, Indonesia, one of the most hardly struck regions during the tsunami last december. The hope is to collect up to 10 million kroner (which would mean about 80-100 thousand copies). The single "Venn" is also on heavy rotation on the main Norwegian radio stations, and has soon entered in the top ten on the Hit40 list (the airplay chart), and this will be likely to bring other funds to the project for the peoples in South-East Asia.
