Home Win |
Source : Bladet Tromsø |
Lene Marlin opened up at the end and ensured a home win.
It was a short but special concert with Tromsø’s big star. She does few concert, but you can’t but love Lene Marlin when she for once appeared on stage.
She knows the musical part of it so well, reinforced by four musicans from Tromsø Symfoniorkester on stringed instruments , the concert was wonderful and touching. There is something special about Lene singing in front of thousand of people from her home city. And that moves something in all of us who have followed her from the beginning.
- It’s so awesome to stand up here, Lene said during the concert.
The concert started off with “So I See” and continued with “Sorry”, and from that point on the audience was in the palm of her hand. Through the concert and til the end, when the audience sang “Sitting Down Here”, in honour of Lene.
Some probably found it strange that it took Lene three songs before she said Hi to Døgnvillfestivalen. In the beginning she was just standing there, singing with her large sunglasses on.
But luckily, after a few songs, she said a few words to the audience, and at the very end she sang “Sitting Down Here” in north norwegian. Wonderful!
All in all, the concert rised towards the end. When she sang “You Weren’t There” it did something with both the audience and Lene. As she continued with “Unforgivable Sinner”, the victory was hers.
Lene Marlin was shining on stage, laughing and seemed to enjoy it.
She also sang a new song, a song which gives us a a preview that there is much to look forward to from Lene Marlin. With the help of her band and the stringed instruments the songs was simply tough.
