Charts news from 10-02-06 to 18-07-06

"In Every Waking Moment" now at #3
Three weeks after its release, the new album by Lovebugs is down another place in the Swiss album chart. The single "The Key" is down one place too, being now at #27, so we can say that the trend is stable.
A little worse on the iTunes Switzerland chart, where tonight (nearly a month after its online release) the album is at #4, "The Key" at #27, and "Avalon" at #96, but we know this chart can change very fast.

Two weeks after its release, the new album from Lovebugs is down to #2 in the Swiss chart, keeping a very good pace: we feel it may easily climb again to the top.
The single "The Key" is standing at #26 six weeks after its release.
On iTunes Switzerland the album is currently at #3, while the single "The Key" is at #15 and "Avalon" at #50.

"In Every Waking Moment" breaker in Switzerland
As previously announced by Lovebugs on their official website, their new album is about to debut in the Swiss album chart straight at #1, selling already gold (15,000+ copies sold).
Congratulations to Lovebugs, we hope their presence in the chart will last as long as possible.
On iTunes Switzerland the album is down to #4, but the single "The Key" stays still in the Top20 and "Avalon" in the Top40.

"In Every Waking Moment" #1 on Swiss iTunes
Lovebugs' new album "In Every Waking Moment" is not yet officially in the Swiss sales chart, but on June 25th, only two days after its release, it reached the top on iTunes Switzerland, and still keeps topping that chart. This was thanks to the quality of Lovebugs' new work and to the pulling by the two versions of the single "The Key" and by the next single "Avalon" (featuring Lene Marlin), which has quickly climbed the Swiss most downloaded singles top 100, reaching by now #40. Now it's down a few places, but the chart changes often, and many things will depend on the promotion.
In the singles sales chart, "The Key" debuted at #17, and now it's at #25 four weeks after its release. The video of the single is doing well in the Swiss Viva chart too.
Finally, let us stress that "In Every Waking Moment" is album of the week on Toponline.ch.

Lene: "It's such a good feeling being inspired"
After receiving a very kind sign of her closeness to us by the publication of the first photos taken by herself in some meeting with her italian fans in the last two years, Lene writes to her fans again in her blog.
It's a message full of happiness, written with enthusiasm, that enthusiasm of her that we all know. First, she explicitly thanks all her fans for the continuous support provided to her and her music, for the kind words and the way we show that her songs matter to us. Then she reveals that she's busy with different projects at the moment, including songwriting.
This is not the first time Lene tells us so. This time though she adds as a personal note, that being inspired is a wonderful feeling, and that it's nice to see that some nice songs can come out of it.
Last, Lene tells that when looking back at her photos from her travels, she decided to show some of them on her website. There are plenty of great memories from different parts of the world.

We want to thank Lene for this wonderful message, and close this post with the charts update for "You Weren't There" in the Hit40.

Lene opens her photoblog
Many updates about many things in this piece of news, all of them positive indeed.

Lene.it back online - We apologize to all our loyal users and visitors for the technical problems (caused by our provider) that have made visiting Lene.it impossible from March 29th to April 3rd. The problems are now completely solved. We take advantage of this and want to inform you about our alternative URL, used to provide communications and updates in case Lene.it is not working: www.lene-marlin.net.

Lene photographer - This month started with a news pointed out by Lene's official website, lenemarlin.com: yesterday the Gallery section started being extended, with some new photos taken by Lene Marlin herself! The first four are, in order: (1) group of fans at Lene's concert in Oslo, december 2004; (2,3) fans at the recordings for Top Of The Pops in Milan, june 2005; (4) the audience in Viterbo, Italy at Festivalbar, june 2005.

"Lost In A Moment" out in France - After a long waiting, Lene's album "Lost In A Moment" is finally out in France since yesterday, April 3rd. We will keep you updated in the next days about its availability in the record shops and about the sales figures.

Concert in the UK - Though some delays, the preparation before the launch in the UK is going on, with some interesting news and a concert too. We're looking forward to having more official communications about this.

Charts - Finally, a brief update from the charts: "You Weren't There" is back again in the norwegian Hit40 Top50, it's the 140th week in this chart for a song that will never stop surprising!

What If hangs on. Lene-marlin.no back online!
It seems that in the last four weeks "What If" has kept stable in the Radio Tromsų airplay, around #20, and that's indeed a good news.
Amazing - in these times - is the continuous presence of "You Weren't There" among the first one hundred positions in the norwegian Hit40, two years and nine weeks after its first airplay. Someway, Lene Marlin's voice keeps being broadcast on the norwegian frequencies :-)

We were very happy to learn, and now we are to announce to you, that by popular acclaim our norwegian cousins at lene-marlin.no are now back online with a brand new contest, a good initiative to keep the fans united and active.
Our best wishes to go along with this adventure for a long time, together with Lene and all of her fans.

"What If" holds out on Radio Tromsų
Now that 'What If' is out of the Hit 40 - holding out only in the Radio Tromsų chart - there's only the historical duel between the two 'veterans' in the norwegian radio airplay left to watch: the duellists are Lene Marlin's "You Weren't There" (at #61) and Dido's "White Flag" (at #62). They both have collected 133 weeks of presence in the Hit 40 and seem far from giving way!
An unusual, exciting, nostalgic match... choose any word you feel suitable! :-)

Let us weigh in the balance for the permanence of "What If" in the TRL Italy Top 10:
- Nearly two months covered, with very good results in the weeks before Christmas;
- 22 times in the chart: 4 times at #1, 14 times in the Top 3, 18 times in the Top 5
An excellent average.
